About Us
Ms. Cummings is a State Bar Certified Family Law Specialist, who has been
practicing exclusively in the field of family law since 1996. She graduated
from the University of California at Davis School of Law in 1992 and became
a certified family law specialist in 2004. She is a member of the following
professional organizations: the Family Law Section and Children's Counsel
Section of the State Bar of California; the Sacramento County Bar Association,
Family Law Section; Association of Certified Family Law Specialists; Sacramento
chapter of the Christian Legal Society (Secretary); and the Sacramento
Collaborative Practice Group. Ms. Cummings was elected in 2007 to serve
a five-year term on the Sacramento County Family Law Executive Committee,
which oversees the family law section of the county bar and serves as
a liaison between the bench and the bar on family law procedural and substantive
issues. She accepts court-appointments for representing minors in family
law cases in both Sacramento and Yolo counties.
The law practice is presently supported by a receptionist, and a legal assistant, Kim Caspar.
The Office
We have a separate child-friendly waiting room for children who are old enough to remain unsupervised for the length of a parent's appointment. (Children are not permitted to be present in the room while a parent is meeting with Ms. Cummings). The children's waiting room is equipped with a television/VCR/DVD, books and board games, as well as an assortment of video games.

Therefore, we have taken careful thought to creating an office environment that is professional, yet with colors, furniture and décor that evoke a sense of calm and comfort.
